Por ejemplo: «This is the cheapest flat we have seen» — Es el piso más barato que hemos visto.
De una a dos sílabas, -est: cheap → the cheapest, big → the biggest, easy → the easiest. De tres arriba, the most: the most expensive. Y cuatro van de memoria: the best, the worst, the furthest.
El artículo the es obligatorio: the cheapest flat in this area. Dos preposiciones se confunden: in para lugar (the best area in the city), of para tiempo (the worst day of the month).
Realzarlo se puede de tres maneras. By far the cheapest es «con diferencia». One of the best flats pide plural detrás. Y doblando la fórmula: the sooner, the better.
