How it works
'Someone', 'anyone', 'any at all', 'nobody' — Armenian has a separate word for each.
Ինչ-որ (inch vor) is 'some': it exists but you do not know it. Ինչ-որ մեկը զանգեց (inch vor mekə zangets) — someone called; ինչ-որ տեղ (inch-vor tegh) — somewhere.
Որևէ (voreve) is 'any' for questions and conditions: Որևէ հարց ունե՞ք (voreve harts unek'), do you have any questions. Ցանկացած (tsankatsats) is 'any you choose': ցանկացած ժամի (tsankatsats zhami), at any hour.
The trap: a negative word wants the verb negated too. Ոչ ոք չեկավ (voch vok' chekav) — nobody came; ոչինչ չեմ լսել (vochinch chem lsel) — I heard nothing.
