-ոտ means 'covered in it': ժանգ rust → ժանգոտ (zhangot) rusty, փոշի (p'oshi) dust → փոշոտ (p'oshot) dusty, ցեխ mud → ցեխոտ (tsekhot) muddy.
-ուն means 'doing that': փայլել shine → փայլուն (p'aylun) shiny, կպչել stick → կպչուն (kpchun) sticky, ճկել bend → ճկուն (chkun) flexible.
The trap: the negative prefix is ան-, and the word often loses its own tail on the way. Պիտանի (pitani) fit → անպիտան useless, not 'անպիտանի'.
