App data and account deletion

Lingofly (ai.lingofly.app) asks for neither an email nor a phone number: the account is created by a random key on your own device. You can delete it yourself — settings, the «Account» block, the «🗑 Delete account» button, confirmation by typing a word. Deletion happens at once and cannot be undone. Below: what exactly is collected, who receives it and what stays behind.

In short

  • There is no sign-up: the account creates itself, with a key the app invents on your device.
  • The app neither asks for nor stores an email, a phone number or an address — not even when you sign in with Google or Apple.
  • There are no ads, no advertising ID and no third-party analytics in the app at all.
  • You can delete the account yourself, inside the app, and it happens at once and for good.

What data the app collects

WhatWhat exactlyWhat for
Device key32 random bytes the app creates on your side and puts into the phone's key store; only their fingerprint reaches the serverthis is what an account without sign-up is made of: without the key there would be nowhere to record your lessons
Namewhatever Apple, Google or Telegram handed over at sign-in — unless you kept the default nameto label you in the weekly league and in the friends list
Sign-in identifierthe internal account identifier at Apple or Google, or the Telegram account numberto bring back the same progress when you sign in from another phone
Lessonswhich exercise, what you answered, whether it was right, how many milliseconds you thought, how much experience was awardedto work out when to repeat a word, and to show you your own statistics
Purchasesthe plan, the paid period, the date and the Google Play purchase tokento switch Pro on, verify the receipt with Google and handle a refund
Countrya two-letter country code; the IP address itself is not storedto know which countries people come from, and which terms of sale apply
Personal course requestup to 280 characters of text you wrote yourselfto assemble a programme for your own goal
Voicea short recording during pronunciation practice — no longer than seven secondsto compare what you said with the model and point out where the sound diverged

What the app does not collect

  • Email, phone, address. When you sign in with Google or Apple we take only the identifier and, if there is one, the name: the email address is not requested and there is nowhere in the database to keep it.
  • The advertising ID (AAID) and any hardware device number — neither IMEI nor Android ID. The app invents the account key itself, at random.
  • Location. The app has no location permission; the country is derived from the connection address on our own server, and the address itself is written nowhere.
  • Photos, video and files. The app does not ask for access to the gallery or the camera.
  • Crashes and diagnostics. There is no crash reporter in the app: crash reports go nowhere.

Who receives the data

We do not sell data and do not hand it to advertising networks. There are four helpers the app cannot work without, and each of them receives exactly one thing:

WhoWhat they receiveWhat for
Googlethe purchase token and the plan nameto confirm the subscription is paid and mark the receipt as acknowledged
Microsoftthe voice recording made during pronunciation practiceto recognise what was said; the recording leaves your phone directly, bypassing our server
Anthropicthe text of your request and the internal account number — without a namethe tutor builds a personal course from the request
Apple, Telegrama check that the sign-in is really yoursto link the account if you sign in through them
The voice recording is stored nowhere: it lives in the phone's memory while the check runs and is never written to a file, neither on our side nor on the device. Our server does not see it at all — it only issues the app a temporary pass to the recogniser.

Everything that leaves the phone travels over a secure connection: the app makes no requests over plain http.

How to delete your account

There is one reliable way — inside the app: only there do we know for certain whose account it is. The app is called Lingofly, package ai.lingofly.app.

  1. Open the settings. On the home screen — the «⚙️ Settings and progress» button under the lesson card.
  2. Scroll down to the «Account» block. It sits at the very bottom of the page, below the notification settings.
  3. Tap «🗑 Delete account». A warning will appear saying the action cannot be undone.
  4. Type the word «delete». Confirmation by typing rather than by a single button: an accidental tap must not erase a year of study.
  5. Confirm. The account is erased at once. There is no grace period and no «bin» to take it back out of.
The labels here are shown in the language of this page. You choose the app's language inside the app itself, and it may differ: in that case look for the same item in the same place — the order of the screens does not depend on the language.

If the app is no longer on your phone

Write to support@lingofly.ai and say how you signed in — Google, Apple or Telegram — and which language you were learning. We answer and carry out the request within 30 days.

An honest caveat: we do not store email addresses, so a letter does not always let us find the account. If there is not enough to identify it, we will say so and ask you to sign in once more — reinstalling the app and deleting the account from inside is faster than exchanging letters.

What is deleted and what stays

Deleted completely and at once

  • The profile: name, country, settings, the fingerprint of the device key.
  • The Apple, Google and Telegram sign-in links — and with them the very possibility of getting back into this account.
  • All progress: exercise answers, the repetition schedule, the streak, achievements, the courses assembled for you.
  • Personal plans, together with the request text you wrote yourself.
  • Reminders and notification subscriptions: the address through which your phone could be reached disappears with them.
  • Family subscription seats — both yours in someone else's family and other people's in yours.
  • Friends and invitations.

What stays

  • Purchase and consent records: the plan, the amount, the date, the mark of the checkbox ticked at payment. Without them a refund dispute cannot be settled and the store cannot be answered. They hold no name and no contacts.
  • Lesson statistics rows: how many lessons there were on a given day and how long they lasted. These too hold no name and no contacts — only an internal number that, after the deletion, corresponds to no person at all.
We currently have no automatic period after which these rows erase themselves — and we do not promise what the code does not do. If such a period appears, this page will change the same day.

Frequently asked

How do I delete my account if the app is already gone from my phone?

Write to support@lingofly.ai, stating the sign-in method (Google, Apple or Telegram) and the language you were learning. The deadline is 30 days at most. We do not store email addresses, so sometimes there is not enough to identify the account; then reinstalling the app and deleting the account from inside is faster.

Can an account be restored after deletion?

No. There is deliberately no soft delete and no cooling-off period: keeping «just in case» what a person asked to erase means not erasing it. The next sign-in creates a new account from a clean slate.

Will the subscription be refunded when the account is deleted?

No, deleting the account and refunding a payment are different actions. The refund conditions are set out in the subscription terms; the refund itself is arranged through Google Play, not by deleting the account.

Does the app record my voice?

Only when you start pronunciation practice yourself, and for no longer than seven seconds. The recording leaves the phone straight for the Microsoft recogniser, is stored nowhere and never reaches our server.

Are there ads and tracking in the app?

No. There are no ad networks, no advertising ID, no third-party analytics and no crash reporter in the app — you can see this from its list of permissions and dependencies.
