'I would like', 'I could check', 'it would be good' — all three take the prefix կ-. It goes on the past form of the verb. For example: “Կուզենայի աշխատել (ashkhatel) ձեր (dzer) ընկերությունում” (ənkerut'yunum) — I would like to work at your company. How it works
'I would like', 'I could check', 'it would be good' — all three take the prefix կ-. It goes on the past form of the verb.
The past of ուզենալ (uzenal), to want, is ուզենայի, ուզենայիր, ուզենար. Put կ- in front and you get 'would like': կուզենայի (kuzenayi), կուզենայիր, կուզենար. Կուզենայի աշխատել (ashkhatel) ձեր (dzer) ընկերությունում (ənkerut'yunum) (kuzenayi ashkhatel dzer ənkerut'yunum) — I would like to work at your company.
The same trick gives կկարողանայի, I would be able, and լավ (lav) կլիներ (lav kliner), it would be good. The last one softens any proposal: Լավ (lav) կլիներ վաղը (vaghə) հանդիպել (handipel) (lav kliner vaghə handipel).
The trap: when the condition is unreal, both halves go into the past. But կ- stands only in the main one: Եթե (yet'e) փորձ (p'ordz) ունենայի (yet'e p'ordz unenayi), կդիմեի (kdimei). After եթե (yet'e) there is never a կ-.
