  • Tugʻilgan kunim uchun menga beshta tomosha abonementi berishdi. Birinchi tomosha komediya edi, uni yaxshi rejissyor qoʻydi. Asosiy rolni mashhur aktyor oʻynadi, lekin menga yosh aktrisa katta taassurot qoldirdi. Oxirida qarsaklar uzoq davom etdi, aktyorlar uch marta sahnaga chiqdi. For my birthday I was given a season pass for five performances. The first was a comedy staged by a good director. The lead role was played by a well-known actor, but the young actress made the stronger impression. At the end the applause lasted long; the actors came onto the stage three times. Frequently asked

What level do you need to read this text in Uzbek?

B1. That means: everyday topics are behind you, you know about three thousand words, and an unknown word is more often guessed from the sentence than looked up.

How to read a text in an unfamiliar language usefully?

First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
