Sozylup ketti, tüisirip aldym, sanap shyqtym: a second verb instead of a prefix
English changes the run of an action with a prefix or a particle: drag, drag on; count, count up. Kazakh has no prefixes at all. A second verb stands beside the first and carries the whole shade. How it works
English changes the run of an action with a prefix or a particle: drag, drag on; count, count up. Kazakh has no prefixes at all. A second verb stands beside the first and carries the whole shade.
Ketu says the action went further than it should, or happened by itself. Sozylup ketu is to drag on; umytyp ketu is to forget clean away.
Shyğu says carry it to the end, all the way through. Sanap shyğu is to count the lot; oqyp shyğu is to read right through. Qoiu says do it in advance and leave it so: süiep qoiu, to lean against.
The trap: alu says the matter came back to you. Tüsiru is to lower on purpose; tüsirip alu is to drop by accident.
