Kim boʻlaman: -chi, -vchi and suvchiman
A trade is named by the work itself here. A tail sticks to the word, and out comes the one who does it. The separate word "profession" is hardly ever heard in speech — people ask "what do you do". For example: “Men quruvchiman, birodarim esa elektrik.” — I am a builder, and my brother is an electrician. A rule from the Uzbek course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
A trade is named by the work itself here. A tail sticks to the word, and out comes the one who does it. The separate word "profession" is hardly ever heard in speech — people ask "what do you do".
-chi sticks to a thing: suv → suvchi, qoʻshiq → qoʻshiqchi, musiqa → musiqachi. The same tail names a sport: kurash → kurashchi — a wrestler.
-vchi comes from the verb: qurmoq → quruvchi, tikmoq → tikuvchi, yozmoq → yozuvchi. The verb loses -moq, and the stem keeps the work.
The linker sticks straight to the trade: Men suvchiman — "I am a plumber". In the plural there is no linker: Ular quruvchi — "they are builders".

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.
