Text
- Babcia mieszka daleko od miasta, blisko lasu. W niedzielę dzwon dzwoni bardzo rano. Do kościoła idę z rodziną, a przed kościołem dziadek mówi z sąsiadami. Babcia modli się razem z nami. Zimą na karnawale dzieci chodzą w maskach.Grandma lives far from the city, close to the forest. On Sunday the bell rings very early. I go to church with the family, and before the service grandpa talks with the neighbours. Grandma prays together with us. In winter at carnival the children walk in masks.

Frequently asked
What level do you need to read this text in Polish?
A2. That means: you know the letters and have a stock of everyday words — about two or three hundred.
How to read a text in an unfamiliar language usefully?
First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
