Դիմումը ընդունուեցաւ: one inserted -ու- and no actor
Office language rests on one device: "the application has been accepted", "the visa was refused". The state never says "we accepted". It inserts -ու- before the verb's ending. For example: “Դիմումը ընդունուեցաւ (əntunuetsav) եւ (yev) կը (gə) քննարկուի” — The application was accepted and is being reviewed. A rule from the Western Armenian course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
Office language rests on one device: "the application has been accepted", "the visa was refused". The state never says "we accepted". It inserts -ու- (-u) before the verb's ending.
Ընդունիլ (əntunil) — to accept → ընդունուիլ (əntunuil) — to be accepted; մերժել — to refuse → մերժուիլ. The new verb conjugates like any other: դիմումը ընդունուեցաւ (əntunuetsav) (timumə əntunuetsav) — the application was accepted.
If you really need the doer, add կողմէն (goghmen), "from the side of", right after it: որոշումը (voroshumə) դատարանի (tadarani) կողմէն (goghmen) ընդունուեցաւ (əntunuetsav) (voroshumə tadarani goghmen əntunuetsav) — the decision was made by the court. That is the language of paperwork. In speech you would say it actively: դատարանը (tadaranə) որոշում (voroshum) ընդունեց (əntunets) (tadaranə voroshum əntunets).
The trap: the same -ու- also makes reflexive verbs, and only meaning tells them apart. Լուալ (lual) (lval) — to wash; լուացուիլ — to wash oneself, not "to be washed". Signs use a participle in -ուած with the copula: Ծխել (dzkhel) արգիլուած (arkilvadz) է (dzkhel arkilvadz e) — smoking is forbidden, Լուսանկարել (lusangarel) թոյլատրուած (t'uyladruadz) է (lusangarel t'uyladruadz e) — photographing is allowed.

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.
