Կ'ուզէի: how to say "I would"
"I would like" in Armenian is կ'ուզէի (g'uzei). It is the unfinished past, like կը (gə) խօսէի — I was speaking. The same form means both "I wanted" and "I would like": the conversation tells you which. For example: “Կ'ուզէի (g'uzei) աշխատիլ (ashkhadil) ձեր (tser) ընկերութեան (əngerut'ean) մէջ” (mech) — I would like to work at your company. A rule from the Western Armenian course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
"I would like" in Armenian is կ'ուզէի (g'uzei). It is the unfinished past, like կը (gə) խօսէի — I was speaking. The same form means both "I wanted" and "I would like": the conversation tells you which.
In an interview կ'ուզեմ (g'uzem) աշխատիլ (ashkhadil) — "I want to work" — sounds demanding. Կ'ուզէի (g'uzei) աշխատիլ (ashkhadil) says the same thing politely. Any proposal softens the same way: Լաւ (lav) կ'ըլլար (əllar) — it would be good.
"Could" is կրնայի: this verb does without կը (gə).

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.
