- היינו בבית ישן עם חצר, גדר ומוסך קטן. הגג היה בסדר, אבל במרתף היה קר וישן. בשבוע הראשון טאטאנו, כיבסנו והכנו את המטבח. תיבת הדואר הייתה מלאה, כי בבית לא גרו שנים. עכשיו הכל נקי, ובערב אנחנו יושבים בחצר עד שקיעה.хайну бе-байит яшан им хацер, гадер у-мосах катан. ха-гаг хая бэсэдер, аваль ба-мартаф хая кар ве-яшан. ба-шавуа ха-ришон татану, кивасну ве-хехину эт ха-митбах. тиват ха-дуар хайта млеа, ки ба-байит ло гару шаним. ахшав ха-коль наки, у-ве-эрэв анахну йошвим ба-хацер ад шкия.We lived in an old house with a yard, a fence and a small garage. The roof was in order, but the basement was cold and old. In the first week we swept, did laundry and got the kitchen ready. The mailbox was full, because nobody had lived in the house for years. Now everything is clean, and in the evening we sit in the yard until sunset.
