- ביום שישי אני וחבר שלי מתווכחים. אני רוצה ללכת לים, והוא רוצה ללכת להרים. הוא כועס ולא מדבר. בערב הוא מסכים, ואני שמח מאוד. בשבת הבאה אנחנו הולכים לים.ба-йом шиши ани ве-хавэр шели митвахехим. ани роце лалехет ла-ям, ве-ху роце лалехет ле-харим. ху коэс ве-ло медабер. ба-эрэв ху маским, ве-ани самэах меод. бэ-шабат ха-ба анахну холхим ла-ям.On Friday my friend and I argue. First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
