English

-ga nisbatan: toward whom — a feeling

A feeling is always toward someone: "toward him", "toward the parents". Here that is two pieces: the tail "-ga" and the word nisbatan — "with respect to". Unga nisbatan hurmat — "respect toward him". For example: “Unga nisbatan nafrat yoʻq.” — There is no hatred toward him. A rule from the Uzbek course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.

How it works

A feeling is always toward someone: "toward him", "toward the parents". Here that is two pieces: the tail "-ga" and the word nisbatan — "with respect to". Unga nisbatan hurmat — "respect toward him".

The order is free, but the feeling more often comes last: Otaga nisbatan sevgi — love for the father, doʻstlarga nisbatan ishonch — trust toward friends.

Without nisbatan, a short feeling stands right with "-ga": onamga mehr — "love for mom", bolasiga gʻazab — "anger at the child". A long feeling takes both pieces; a short one manages with the tail alone.

How the rule settles in your head

A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.
