Together and too: ด้วย and กัน
Two short words glue people into a team. ด้วย at the end of a phrase means "too": phom pai duay — I will go too. At the end of a request it adds "come on, please". How it works

กัน (кан) — "each other" and "together": chuai kan — help each other; thalao kan — quarrel among yourselves. Put them together and you get ด้วย กัน (дыай кан), together: pai duay kan — let us go together.
For a pair of things there is ทั้ง สอง (тханг сонг) — both: thang song tim — both teams. And if one acts without anyone's help, Thai says so at the end of the phrase — by oneself, without pronouns. A team in Thai is assembled from particles, not from changes of the word.
