Such a word stands before the noun like any description. හොඳම (hondama) රස්සාව (rassāva) (hondama rassāva) is "the best job", ලංකාවේ (laṁkāvē) උසම කන්ද (kanda) "the highest mountain in Lanka". The place of comparison takes the -ේ tail: ඔෆිස් (ofis) එකේ (ekē) දක්ෂම කෙනා (kenā) (ofis ekē dakṣama kenā).
Longer and firmer sounds ඔක්කොටම වඩා (vaḍā) (okkoṭama vaḍā) — "than all of them": එයා (eyā) ඔක්කොටම වඩා (vaḍā) දක්ෂයි (dakṣayi) (eyā okkoṭama vaḍā dakṣayi) — "he is abler than anyone". Same sense, more words.
The trap: -ම has a second job, "exactly, myself". මමම කළා (kaḷā) is "I did it myself", අදම (adama) එන්න (enna) (adama enna) is "come today of all days". On a quality the tag gives "the most", on a pronoun it gives force.
