განახლებადი, გადაშენებადი, შეუქცევადი: a quality made from a verb
English reaches for '-able' and '-ing' words here. Georgian gets by with a single ending. For example: “მზის ენერგია განახლებადია, ნავთობი კი არა” — Solar energy is renewable, and oil is not. A rule from the Georgian course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
English reaches for '-able' and '-ing' words here. Georgian gets by with a single ending.
-ადი — 'able to be that', 'liable to that'. Take an action name, drop -ება and put -ადი on. განახლება (ganakhleba) → განახლებადი (ganakhlebadi) — renewable, გადაშენება (gadasheneba) → გადაშენებადი (gadashenebadi) — endangered, ცვლა (tsvla) → ცვალებადი — changeable.
შე-უ-…-ადი — 'that can NOT be'. The same frame with a denial in it: შექცევა (to reverse) → შეუქცევადი (irreversible). The prefix უ- is the 'not'.
The difference from -ილი and -ული is the direction of time. გადაშენებადი may still die out; გადაშენებული (gadashenebuli) has died out already.

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.

“მზის ენერგია განახლებადია, ნავთობი კი არა” (mzis energia ganakhlebadia, navtobi ki ara) — Solar energy is renewable, and oil is not. A rule is easier to test on sentences like this than to memorize as a wording: what surfaces in conversation is the sentence.
