Where, and where to: location lives at the end of the word
The prepositions you are used to are absent: place glues onto the word itself. All the talk about home, the pharmacy and doctors rests on these endings. For example: “აფთიაქში მივდივარ” — I am going to the pharmacy. A rule from the Georgian course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
The prepositions you are used to are absent: place glues onto the word itself. All the talk about home, the pharmacy and doctors rests on these endings.
Four matter most: -ში (inside), -ზე (on a surface), -თან (at, next to a person), -იდან (out of). აფთიაქში (aptiakshi) — at the pharmacy, მაგიდაზე (magidaze) — on the table, ექიმთან (ekimtan) — at the doctor's.
First stumble: the final -ი drops before the ending. სახლი (sakhli) → სახლში (sakhlshi). Second, and it is a relief: 'where' and 'where to' are one form. აფთიაქში ვარ (aptiakshi var) — I am at the pharmacy, აფთიაქში მივდივარ (aptiakshi mivdivar) — I am going to the pharmacy. Direction is the verb's job.
Three more are worth recognizing on signs: -ქვეშ (under), -კენ (towards), -მდე (as far as).

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.

What does it look like in an example sentence Georgian?
