Without the future you cannot buy a ticket or fix a meeting. Georgian has no separate 'will': the future is made by a prefix on the same verb. For example: “ხვალ (khval) ბათუმში (batumshi) წავალ” (tsaval) — Tomorrow I will go to Batumi. A rule from the Georgian course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
Without the future you cannot buy a ticket or fix a meeting. Georgian has no separate 'will': the future is made by a prefix on the same verb.
Most often that is და- (da), გა-, შე- or წა-. ვწერ (vtser) — I write → დავწერ (davtser) — I will write. The prefix goes right to the front and ვ- ('I') moves in behind it: not ვდაწერ but დავწერ.
Which prefix a verb gets cannot be worked out from the verb itself. A couple change wholesale: მივდივარ (mivdivar) (I go) → წავალ (tsaval) (I will go), ვარ (var) (I am) → ვიქნები (viknebi) (I will be).
So take ready forms rather than assembly: ვიქნები (viknebi), წავალ (tsaval), ვიყიდი (viqidi), დავწერ, მოვალ (moval). You are understood even without a prefix: ხვალ (khval) მივდივარ (mivdivar) (khval mivdivar) is a normal sentence.
