Text
Büyük ihtimalle kabul edeceğim; olmasa bile denemeye değerdi, en azından bir şey öğrendim.I was offered a job in another city, and I thought about it for a week. The salary is good, but the commute takes about two hours; on the condition of moving it seemed reasonable. One friend of mine said he would accept in my place, while my mother insisted that I not rush. In the end I wrote the advantages and disadvantages on paper: almost all of them were positive. Most likely I'll accept; and even if not — it was worth trying, at least I learned something.

Frequently asked
What level do you need to read this text in Turkish?
B1. That means: everyday topics are behind you, you know about three thousand words, and an unknown word is more often guessed from the sentence than looked up.
How to read a text in an unfamiliar language usefully?
First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
