Girilmez: saying it without naming who
Half of what is written on a road or in a hotel runs on one tail: girilmez, park edilmez. Who exactly does not enter goes unsaid, and no one needs it. For example: “Bu sokağa girilmez, tek yön” — Do not enter this street — one way. A rule from the Turkish course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
Half of what is written on a road or in a hotel runs on one tail: girilmez, park edilmez. Who exactly does not enter goes unsaid, and no one needs it.
The shape depends only on the last sound of the stem. After a consonant it is -il/-ıl/-ul/-ül: yazıldı, it was written. After a vowel, -n: okundu, it was read. After l it is -in, so two l sounds do not collide: alındı. Verbs on etmek give edilmek: iptal edildi.
The second job of this tail is to say people in general: Müzeye nasıl gidilir?, how does one get to the museum?
Hence the language of signs: -ilir means you may, -ilmez means you may not. That describes how things are instead of ordering anyone about, and so it lands softer.
Table
| the stem ends in | the suffix | example | translation |

| a vowel | -n | okundu | it was read |
| l | -in / -ın / -un / -ün | alındı | it was taken |
| etmek | edilmek | iptal edildi | cancelled |
| an intransitive verb | impersonal “in general” | gidilir | one can get there |
| a sign ban | -ilmez / -ilmaz | park edilmez | no parking |
| naming the doer | tarafından | polis tarafından | by the police |

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.
