How it works
Direction in Thai is made not by prepositions but by verbs of motion. ไป (пай) — "go there", away from the speaker: pai sanam bin — "I am going to the airport". มา (ма) — "come here", toward the speaker: ma ban phom — "come to my house". English says "come"; Thai says literally "come-here".
From where — จาก (джак): ma jaak ban — "I come from home". The familiar question khun ma jaak nai is exactly this pair: "you come-here from where". To where — ถึง (тхынг): it is both "arrive" and "as far as" — rot fai theung chanchala — "the train goes as far as the platform".
The order is always one: who → verb → where. Into a room — เข้า (кхао): khao hong phak — "enter the room", the familiar word from checking in. The question "where to" is assembled from pai and nai: pai nai — "where are you going?"

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.

The path: how does it work in Thai?
Direction in Thai is made not by prepositions but by verbs of motion. ไป — "go there", away from the speaker: pai sanam bin — "I am going to the airport". มา — "come here", toward the speaker: ma ban phom — "come to my house". English says "come"; Thai says literally "come-here".
What does it look like in a Thai example sentence?
“ผม จะ ไป สนาม บิน” (пхом ча пай санам бин) — I will go to the airport. A rule is easier to test on sentences like this than to memorize as a wording: what surfaces in conversation is the sentence.
