- W szkole robiliśmy doświadczenie z wodą z trzech różnych źródeł. Każda grupa wzięła swoją próbkę wody. Nasza hipoteza była taka, że woda z kranu jest najczystsza. Pomiar pokazał coś innego i pierwszą hipotezę trzeba było obalić. Nauczycielka powiedziała, że to normalne: obserwacja mówi więcej niż przypuszczenie. Na koniec na podstawie danych zapisaliśmy wniosek i znaleźliśmy jasną prawidłowość.At school we did an experiment with water from three different sources. Each group took its own water sample. Our hypothesis was that tap water is the cleanest. The measurement showed otherwise, and the first hypothesis had to be disproved. The teacher said this is normal: observation says more than assumption. At the end, on the basis of the data, we wrote a conclusion and found a clear pattern.

First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
