Text
My phone was stolen on the bus. I went to the police station right away and told what happened. The officer first asked for my ID, then drew up a report. On the security camera, they say, two people could be seen; one was detained as a suspect. I was told that if he is found guilty, the phone will be returned. Since I had insurance, I filed a claim, but the processing time is thirty days. In the end the phone didn't come back, nevertheless the report was needed for the insurance.

Frequently asked
What level do you need to read this text in Turkish?
B1. That means: everyday topics are behind you, you know about three thousand words, and an unknown word is more often guessed from the sentence than looked up.
How to read a text in an unfamiliar language usefully?
First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
