Delati and narediti: aspect, and why the prefix changes more than the meaning
Verbs about how things go stand in pairs: prenehati and nehati, dokončati and končati. These are not synonyms — one is the unfinished action, the other the finished one. For example: “Vsak dan delam, danes pa bom naredil vse do konca” — Every day I work, but today I will get everything done to the end. A rule from the Slovenian course: worked out on examples, not memorized as a wording.
How it works
Verbs about how things go stand in pairs: prenehati and nehati, dokončati and končati. These are not synonyms — one is the unfinished action, the other the finished one.
The unfinished one answers 'what to be doing': delati, premikati se, uporabljati. The finished one answers 'what to get done': narediti, premakniti se, uporabiti.
The pair is made most often with a prefix: delati → narediti, meriti → izmeriti. Sometimes with a suffix inside the word: premakniti → premikati, kupiti → kupovati. Now and then with different roots: vzeti and jemati.
The trap: a finished verb has no present tense. Naredim does not mean 'I am doing' — it is a future: Ko naredim, ti povem. 'I am doing it now' can only be delam.

How the rule settles in your head
A rule is not memorized from an explanation. It is memorized from an attempt to use it and a mistake — that is why the app delivers it mixed in with words, not as a separate lesson: it resurfaces exactly where you forgot it.
