How it works
You can compare not only qualities but whole groups: people, actions, whole thoughts.
Equality — tant… com: Tant el pare com la mare són treballadors — both father and mother are hard workers. Before a verb tant means "as much": Estudia tant com el seu germà.
More of a group — més… que: Llegeix més llibres que jo — he reads more books than I do.
When the comparison is with something already said, use del que. Guanya més diners del que gasta — he earns more than he spends.
