- Я надіслав рекомендований лист із документами. Відправник — я, одержувач — контора в іншому місті. Вага невелика, індекс вписав правильно, дата видачі на квитанції стоїть. Минув тиждень, і лист повернувся: у поштовому відділенні сказали, що адресу одержувача написано нерозбірливо. Тепер друкую все на компʼютері.I sent a registered letter with documents. The sender is me; the recipient is an office in another city. The weight is small, I entered the postal code correctly, and the date of dispatch stands on the receipt. A week passed, and the letter came back: at the post office they said the recipient's address was written illegibly. Now I type everything on the computer.

First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
