How it works
Almost every workhorse verb comes in a pair, and the two answer different questions: what was being done, and what got done. Pryponiaty is the process, the habit, the repeat: vin shchorazu pryponiae rozmovu. Pryponyty is once and for good: vin pryponyv rozmovu.
Kindred pairs: zavershuvaty → zavershyty, vidnovliuvaty → vidnovyty, usuvaty → usunuty, zabezpechuvaty → zabezpechyty, vykonuvaty → vykonaty, zbilshuvaty → zbilishyty.
The rule broken most often: the future with budu is built only from the process verb. Budu zavershuvaty zvit works; the finished verb has its own single-word future instead: vykonaiu, zavershu, usunu.
And after pochaty, prodovzhyty, pryponyty only the process verb may follow: pochav vykonuvaty, pryponyv pytaty.
