- මම ඊයේ මහනුවරට ගියා. උදේ හතට ට්රේන් එක පිටත් වුණා. මම ගිහින් එන ටිකට් එකක් ගත්තා, ජනේලය ළඟ සීට් එකත් හම්බුණා. ට්රේන් එකේ මගේ ලගේජ් එක උඩ තිබ්බා. පාරේ කුඹුරු, ගං සහ කන්දු පේනවා. මහනුවරට යන්න පැය තුනහමාරක් ගියා.mama īyē mahanuvaraṭa giyā. udē hataṭa ṭrēn eka piṭat vuṇā. mama gihin ena ṭikaṭ ekak gattā, janēlaya ḷanga sīṭ ekat hambuṇā. ṭrēn ekē magē lagēj eka uḍa tibbā. pārē kumburu, gaṁ saha kandu pēnavā. mahanuvaraṭa yanna pæya tunahamārak giyā.Yesterday I went to Kandy.
