- මගේ යාළුවාගේ නම සමන්. එයා සන්සුන් සහ කරුණාවන්ත කෙනෙක්. එයා ගොඩක් වෙලාවට හිනා වෙනවා, තරහ යන්නේ කලාතුරකින්. ගිය සතියේ අපි පොඩ්ඩක් රණ්ඩු වුණා. ඊට පස්සේ එයා කිව්වා: «ප්රශ්නයක් නෑ, කරදර වෙන්න එපා». දැන් අපි ආයෙත් යාළුවෝ.magē yāḷuvāgē nama Saman. eyā sansun saha karuṇāvanta kenek. eyā goḍak velāvaṭa hinā venavā, taraha yannē kalāturakin. giya satiyē api poḍḍak raṇḍu vuṇā. īṭa passē eyā kivvā: «praśnayak nǣ, karadara venna epā». dæn api āyet yāḷuvō.My friend’s name is Saman.
