- හැම හවසකම අම්මා කුස්සියේ බත් උයනවා. මම ලූනු සහ කැරට් කපනවා. අම්මා තැච්චියේ මාළු බදිනවා, වළඳේ පරිප්පු තම්බනවා. ලිප උඩ කුළුබඩු තියෙනවා: ගම්මිරිස්, කහ සහ මිරිස්. අපේ කෑම ටිකක් සැරයි, ඒත් ගොඩක් රසයි. කෑමට පස්සේ මම පිඟන් හෝදනවා.hæma havasakama ammā kussiyē bat uyanavā. mama lūnu saha kæraṭ kapanavā. ammā tæcciyē māḷu badinavā, vaḷandē parippu tambanavā. lipa uḍa kuḷubaḍu tiyenavā: gammiris, kaha saha miris. apē kǣma ṭikak særayi, ēt goḍak rasayi. kǣmaṭa passē mama pingan hōdanavā.Every evening Mother cooks rice in the kitchen.
