Why it looks that way

կարծիք is 'opinion', -ով the instrumental: literally 'by my opinion'. It opens the sentence, comma after: Իմ կարծիքով, սա սխալ է. Drop the իմ and the opinion belongs to someone else: անոր կարծիքով

A word with a story stays in memory longer than one learned as a “spelling — translation” pair: memory holds on to meaning, not to a string.
