The state does not say "we accepted" — it says "accepted", with a single inserted -ու- before the verb's ending. How it works
The language of offices rests on one device: "the application has been accepted", "the visa was refused". The state does not say "we accepted" — it says "accepted", with a single inserted -ու- (-u) before the verb's ending.
Ընդունել (əntunel) — to accept → ընդունուիլ (əntunuil) — to be accepted; մերժել — to refuse → մերժուիլ. The new verb conjugates like any other: dimumə əntunuetsav — the application was accepted.
If the doer is really needed, it is added with կողմէն (goghmen) — koghmen, "from the side of" — and it stands AFTER the doer. Voroshumə datarani koghmen əntunuetsav — the decision was made by the court. In live speech the doer is simply named actively: dataranə voroshum əntunets.
Now the trap: the same -ու- also makes reflexive verbs, and only meaning tells them apart. Luanal — to wash; luatsuil — to wash oneself, not "to be washed". The third use is signs: Arkeli dzkhel — smoking is forbidden; T'uyllatruil lusangarel — photographing is permitted.
