How it works
Factory text talks almost entirely about what was done to a thing, not who did it. One inserted -վ- removes the doer. The suffix -վ- before the ending. Ardatreł (to manufacture) → ardatrveł (to be manufactured); stugel → stugveł. It always goes between the stem and the ending of the infinitive.
Who did it — the ending -ով (-vov), most often simply absent. Abrankə stugvets tesichov — the goods were inspected by an inspector. The normal phrase is shorter: abrankə stugvets — and no inspector.
The impersonal "they". Even more often people make do with a verb "they" with no named doer: abrankə perrnarrak'etsin — literally "the goods, they shipped". In English — "the goods were shipped". It is livelier and wins in speech.
The participle in -ված — the result. P'at'et'avorvadz (packed); ts'angkapadvadz (fenced off). It also becomes an adjective before the noun: p'at'et'avorvadz abrank. One caution: in some verbs -վ- means "he did it to himself", not "it was done to him": hagnvel — to get dressed. The meaning of the verb tells them apart.
