In the morning it was sunny, and we went to the stream. At noon the air became stuffy, and the sky was overcast. Then thunder was heard, and a downpour began. Grandmother said there would be hail and the harvest would spoil. We ran home and watched the puddles from the windows. The hail did come, but it was small, and the garden beds remained whole. Toward evening the thunderstorm passed, and a rainbow appeared over the mountains.
