- Я виходжу о пів на восьму й іду вздовж набережної до мосту. У годину пік автобуси повні, тому легше пішки. Біля перехрестя завжди затор, а на розі стоїть ліхтар, який не світить уже рік. Дорогою я встигаю послухати подкаст — виходить хвилин двадцять пʼять.I leave at half past seven and walk along the embankment to the bridge. At rush hour the buses are full, so it is easier on foot. By the intersection there is always a jam, and on the corner stands a streetlamp that has not lit for a year. On the way I manage to listen to a podcast — about twenty-five minutes.

First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
