This year the growth of sales was good. The first six months the quantity grew smoothly. In the seventh month it jumped sharply and reached the peak — the time of the festival. After it a small decline; but still higher than last year. The total number did not double, but neither did it fall threefold. In the expenses rent is a third. Since the price of fuel grew, the transport expenses, father said once, jumped tenfold; but that was temper, not calculation. If counted precisely, it came to only a quarter. At the end father rounded the sum to a hundred and wrote it down. Without a scale a shop cannot be held — so he says.
