Then the rains came, and the work dragged on. Many said: wave your hand at it. But he persistently went from house to house and asked for donations. In a year the money gathered; with the last of our strength we laid the foundation. In the middle there was a small slip — an error in the calculation, but it was corrected. Today the library exists. It is not large; but it is the achievement of the village. A work once begun must be brought to perfection — he says so even now.
