On the shore lay much waste — plastic bags, glass, disposable tableware. A little farther off there was also a small dump. One man said that along the ditch from the river into the sea flow sewage waters. We sorted the trash by kinds. The recyclables were put separately into a sack. One child found a turtle; the teacher said it is an endangered species. At noon the sun burned strongly; sharp swings of weather are now an ordinary thing. On the way back the exhaust of a car struck the face. Returning to the village, we made the decision: we will come like this once a month. In one day of work the sea will not become clean. But the personal contribution of everyone is a beginning.
