- Za rojstni dan sem dobila abonma za pet predstav v mestnem gledališču. Prva je bila komedija po romanu, ki sem ga brala v šoli. Glavno vlogo je igral znan igralec, a name je večji vtis naredila mlada igralka. Režiser je vso zgodbo prestavil v današnji čas, oder pa je bil skoraj prazen. Ob koncu je bil aplavz tako dolg, da so se igralci vrnili trikrat. Zdaj vem, zakaj ima kultura v tej državi svoj praznik in svoj prosti dan.For my birthday I received a subscription for five performances at the city theater. The first was a comedy based on a novel I had read in school. A famous actor played the lead, but it was the young actress who impressed me more. The director moved the whole plot into our time, and the stage was almost empty. At the end the applause was so long that the actors came out three times. Now I know why culture in this country has its own holiday and its own day off.
