- Zjutraj je bilo sončno in tako soparno, da se nikomur ni dalo delati na vrtu. Okoli druge se je nebo zatemnilo in nad dolino so se zbrali oblaki. Najprej je zagrmelo, potem pa je začela padati toča, velika kot grozdje. V pol ure je uničila polovico pridelka in polomila mlada drevesa. Po nalivu so bile ceste polne luž, potok za hišo pa je narasel do vrta. Zvečer se je zjasnilo in nad hribi se je pokazala široka mavrica.In the morning it was sunny and so muggy that nobody wanted to work in the garden. Around two the sky darkened and clouds gathered over the valley. First came thunder, and then hail as big as grapes. In half an hour it destroyed half the harvest and broke the young trees. After the downpour the roads were full of puddles, and the stream behind the house rose up to the garden. In the evening it cleared, and a wide rainbow appeared over the hills.
