- Babica se je rodila v majhni vasi, kjer je bila ena sama trgovina. V otroštvu je pomagala na vrtu, plela plevel in pasla dve kozi. Šolo je končala pri štirinajstih in kmalu dobila prvo službo v mestu. V tistih časih ni bilo telefonov, zato je materi vsak teden pisala pismo. V mladosti je spoznala dedka, čez tri leta sta ustvarila družino. Zdaj mi kaže stare fotografije in pravi, da se tistih let nikoli ne bo naveličala.Grandma was born in a small village where there was a single shop. In childhood she helped in the garden, hoed the weeds and herded two goats. She finished school at fourteen and soon found her first job in town. In those days there were no telephones, so she wrote her mother a letter every week. In her youth she met grandpa, and three years later they started a family. Now she shows me old photographs and says those years will never bore her.
