In those years not a single car stood on our street, and children played in the yard every day. One photograph shows the house of her ancestors, which was long ago demolished. Grandma talked about the past for a long time and at the end said that in their days everything happened more slowly. Mom laughed and replied that modern life is fine too, just different. We put the album back on the shelf and agreed to open it at least once a year.
