- Dimarts al vespre, la Rosa ja no se sent bé: té la gola irritada, no para de tossir i el termòmetre marca trenta-huit i mig. Es posa el pijama, beu aigua calenta amb llimona i s'enfada amb la grip, però al matí està pitjor: la cansança no la deixa aixecar-se del llit. Dimecres, la mare truca el centre de salut i demana hora: hi ha consulta a les onze. El metge mira la gola, pren la temperatura i escriu una recepta mèdica; també demana anàlisis per veure si hi ha alguna altra cosa. Divendres la Rosa ja estic millor — això ho diu la mare, que ho ha apuntat tot — i diumenge la tos ha guarit del tot. Torna a córrer al parc i promet que, el proper hivern, s'abrigarà abans que arribi el fred.On Tuesday evening Rosa already feels unwell: her throat hurts, she cannot stop coughing, and the thermometer shows thirty-eight point five. She puts on her pajamas, drinks hot water with lemon and is angry at the flu, but by morning it gets worse: the tiredness does not let her rise from bed. On Wednesday mother calls the health center and asks for an appointment: there is a slot at eleven. The doctor looks at the throat, takes the temperature and writes a prescription; he also orders tests to understand whether there is anything else. On Friday Rosa is already better — so says mother, who wrote everything down — and on Sunday the cough has gone completely. She runs to the park again and promises that next winter she will wrap up before the cold arrives.
