- Al nostre poble hi ha gent de tots els oficis. El senyor Puig és forner: engega el forn a les cinc del matí i a les huit el pa ja és calent. La seva filla és comptable i porta els comptes de la fleca, però també sap vendre. En Joan té un taller de mecànica al costat: si el cotxe no arrenca, ell el revisa i demà ja funciona. I la Marta, que era mestre, ara és jardiner del poble: diu que ensenyar a créixer les flors també és ensenyar.In our town there are people of all trades. Mr. Puig is a baker: he lights the oven at five in the morning, and by eight the bread is already hot. His daughter is an accountant and keeps the bakery's accounts, but she can sell too. Joan runs a car workshop next door: if a car will not start, he inspects it, and tomorrow it works again. And Marta, who was a schoolteacher, is now the town's gardener: she says teaching flowers to grow is also teaching.
