- V kleti pri babici stoji omara, ki je starejša od mene. Les je na otip hrapav, barva pa je na soncu zbledela in ni več bleščeča. Ena vrata so ukrivljena, na spodnji polici pa je velik madež od olja. Kljub temu je omara cela in še vedno uporabna, samo ključavnica je zarjavela. Oče pravi, da bo vrata popravil in nanje nanesel novo plast laka. Meni je všeč prav taka, s praskami in obrabljenimi robovi.In grandma’s basement stands a cupboard that is older than me. The wood is rough to the touch, and the paint has faded in the sun and no longer shines. One door is crooked, and on the bottom shelf there is a big oil stain. Still, the cupboard is whole and still usable, only the lock has rusted. Father says he will fix the door and apply a new layer of lacquer. But I like it exactly like this, with scratches and worn edges.
