Text
- Hilabetez lan bila ibili naiz, eta azkenik elkarrizketa bat izan dut enpresa batean. Buruaz hitz egin dut eta nire lan-esperientzia azaldu dut. Bi egun geroago telefonoz deitu didate, eta lan-eskaintza onartu dut pozik. Lan-kontratua urtebetekoa da, lanaldi osokoa. Lankideak oso atseginak dira. For a month I looked for a job and finally got through an interview at a company. I talked about myself and explained my work experience. Two days later they called me, and I gladly accepted the job offer. The work contract is for a year, full time. The colleagues are very friendly.

Frequently asked
What level do you need to read this text in Basque?
A2. That means: you know the letters and have a stock of everyday words — about two or three hundred.
How to read a text in an unfamiliar language usefully?
First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
