Text
At half past seven in the morning we enter the shop floor; first work clothes, then the safety briefing. Raw material comes from the warehouse, workpieces are processed on the lathe and by evening become a finished product. In every batch a few defective parts come out; they are separated and sent for testing. After the acceptance is done, the boxes are marked, the waybill is written, and shipping begins. If the work goes on schedule, we leave at six in the evening; if not, one person stays on duty.

Frequently asked
What level do you need to read this text in Turkish?
B1. That means: you know the letters and have a stock of everyday words — about two or three hundred.
How to read a text in an unfamiliar language usefully?
First all the way through without peeking at the translation — just to catch the familiar words. Then with the translation. Then all the way through again: the second pass brings noticeably more, and that feeling matters more than any rule.
