- Nekega dne sem na postaji čakal vlak, ki je imel štirideset minut zamude. Ravno takrat je k meni pristopila starejša gospa in vprašala, kje je drugi peron. Razložil sem ji, da so perone prejšnji teden preštevilčili. Skoraj bi zamudila vlak, zato sva stekla po stopnicah in prišla v zadnjem hipu. Ko je sedla, se mi je zahvalila in rekla, naj se enkrat oglasim pri njej. Še danes vidim njen obraz pri oknu, čeprav se je vse skupaj zgodilo v nekaj minutah.Once I was waiting at the station for a train that was forty minutes late. Just then an elderly lady came up to me and asked where platform two was. I explained to her that the platforms had been renumbered the week before. She almost missed her train, so the two of us ran up the stairs and made it at the last moment. When she sat down, she thanked me and said I should come visit her sometime. I can still see her face by the window, although it all happened in a matter of minutes.
