- Larunbat goizean auto bat alokatu nuen konpainia txiki batean, amona baserrira bisitatzeko. Lankideak gidatzeko baimena begiratu eta kotxe txiki bat eman zidan: «hirian aparkatzeko erraza da», azaldu zuen. «Depositua beteta dago eta atzealdeko eserlekuak tolesta daitezke, maletarentzako leku gehiago izateko». Errepidean, ordea, atzerapen txiki bat izan nuen: lanak zeuden eta biratzen ibili nintzen maparen arabera. Helmugara bi ordu eta erditan iritsi nintzen, aurreikusitakoa baino hogeita bost minutu beranduago. Amonak ez zuen maleta orgarik behar izan: atzealdeko eserlekuak tolestu eta guztiak sartu ziren. Igandean, itzuleran, euria hasi zen: beira garbitzaileak etengabe pizten nituen eta maldetan balazta lehenik, motel egin ondoren. Baserriaren aurrean aparkatu nuen, depositoa erdira utzita. The employee looked at the driver's license and gave a small car: "easy to park in the city," he explained. "The tank is full, and the rear seats fold, so there is more room for the suitcase." On the highway, however, there was a small delay: road works were going on, and I turned off by the map. I got to my destination in two and a half hours, twenty-five minutes later than planned. Grandma did not need a cart for the suitcase: the rear seats folded, and everything fit in. On Sunday, on the way back, it began to rain: I kept the wipers going without a stop, and on the descents I first dropped speed, then braked. Before the farm I parked, leaving the tank half full. Now I know how important it is to look at the route in advance: calm depends on the route.
